Spa Party

I dug out some old Crate Maggie Holmes papers to scrap these pictures from Carter's Spa birthday party. What fun...the party and creating this page!! I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme and the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy!

a few layouts to share...

I was lucky enough to get some scrappin' time in this past weekend so I am sharing here with you! First up I played along with the fun tic-tac-toe board at 1 - 2 - 3 Get Scrappy. I chose to go diagonal and used black background, fibers and vintage style. I  also used the Feb 1st sketch at Stuck Sketches as my inspiration.

For this next page I grabbed the new "Family Forever" collection by Bella Blvd. and played along with the sketch Brenda offered up for the February Scrap Friends challenge and this Paper Girls challenge

and lastly I played with the new "Homespun" line from Simple Stories and scrapped this picture of my friend and I after a whole day of Christmas baking. For inspiration I used the sketch at sketch n scrap!

I love how the papers worked so well with my photo!!

I love Saturdays when there are no plans...no place we have to be...and I can just play in my scrappy space! That is exactly what I have been doing today. Gosh...I am lucky!!! I pulled out the Crate Paper "Love Notes" collection (which is my all time FAV Valentine line) and played along with a few challenges.
 - Scrap Our Stash  use the sketch as inspiration and also include heart patterned paper, premade hearts    and a premade arrow!
 - Challenge YOUrself #3  create a layout about someone you love using the color combo and include you in the photo
 - Anything But a Card Challenge  tic tac toe I used the middle row across bling(enamel dots), heart and mists
 - SnC fade challenge
 - Twisted Tuesdays  anything but a card and add chipboard

Sketch Time!

and this is what I created using the Chic Tags Glad Tidings collection which I have been hoarding for a bit. I LOVE this companies papers!! So thick and sturdy plus their embellishments are fun too!!!

keepin' it Simple!

Hi all! I am jumping on here to share a page that I recently completed using one of the new Simple Set collections from Simple Stories The one that I used for my layout is Fresh Air but there are 3 other sets as well; Summer Paradise, Hey Mom and Hey Pop.  Hopefully Simple Stories will come out with some more themes soon because I love them! I used the February week #2 sketch at Let's Get Sketchy and the fun color combo challenge at Frosted Designs as my inspiration.

Challenge #2: Let's See That Hoard!

This is a Color Challenge with a twist. Pick the thing or things that you seem to hoard the most, and using the color scheme shown below, create a project that showcases your hoarded item or items. Do you hoard buttons, beads, ribbon, papers, stickers? Show your hoard, but only the items that match the color scheme! (Please note, you do not have to use all the colors in the photo, nor match the colors exactly. Just use the photo and the colors to inspire you to dig through your hoard.)

Fun right??!! I, like most paper crafters, hoard paper. I have a ton of it so for this challenge I am using some of that, but also something else I seem to hoard...embellishments. When a new collection comes out that I LOVE, I seem to buy every matching piece to go with it! Case in point...I used the Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party for my page. I used 4 different patterned papers on here as well as 5 embellishments, all from different packs from this line. I confess - I am a Craft Hoarder!!

Playing with some new Carta Bella!

Have you seen this new birthday themed collection from Carta Bella ? The collection is called "It's a Celebration" and there is a lot to celebrate here!! I love the beautiful, bright papers and the weight of Carta Bella can't be beat! I used a few of the papers to create this page using a sketch from Sketch & Scrap. After adding a few enamel dots and wash tape I called it done!

I think I am going to have to put in a reorder on this line. Love it!!

I Heart This

I am having a lot of fun playing along with the My Scraps & More's Love is in the Air crop!! The challenge for this page was to use the colors Pink, Red, White and Black. I dug out this old EP Valentine's collection and started creating!! I am really happy with how it turned out!

I love you the mostest...

The title of my page is from the Tuesday Trigger (2/4/14) challenge at My Scraps & More which was to us that phrase on your page. The papers and embellishments are from one of the new collections from Elle's Studio. I am really liking the collections they have put out lately!! The page design is a sketch from Stuck on U Sketches. This one was a little bit of a struggle but I like the outcome!

Another fun sketch I played with recently was this one from Paper Secrets. Along with the sketch the challenge was to include an item on your page for the letters K.I.S.S. (kraft cardstock, ink, stitching, sticker) I am lovin' finding all of these scrap challenges and playing along!!!

Good Morning! It is my turn for the Tuesday Trigger challenge on the My Scraps & More message board today! If you aren't familiar with this let me clue you in! Every month our Trigger challenges have a theme. For February our them is "Love" which is fitting given this IS the month to celebrate it! My challenge today is to create a layout based on somewhere that you love! For me, this place is the beach!! I absolutely love it there. Once I win the lottery, I will be sitting on the beach next to my oceanside dream house daily!!

The Daily Grind...

I love this bright, cheery collection from Simple Stories!! Why I hadn't dug it out and played with it before now is beyond me! I played along with a few challenges for this one...

- Red Carpet Studios... get inspiration from "The Breakfast Club" so I did just that and scrapped a pic of Jim and Connor sharing breakfast on New Year's Day
- this sketch at Let's Get Sketchy
- the Word Up Wednesday challenge at My Scraps to have at least 4 titles or subtitles on your page
- and my scrap group has a challenge to scrap a square photo so trimmed this one to 4x4

Everyday Moments

Good Morning! I am up on the My Scraps blog today sharing a recent page I created using the new Elle's Studio Everyday Moments collection! I love this collection and immediately thought of using it when I saw this sketch from Page Maps. 

I loved punching out all of those hearts and the wood veneer...LOVE!!

I have been eyeing this "Family Stories" collection by Teresa Collins for a while now and just recently bought it! The colors are great and really worked with this photo of mine since there are all different colors going on in it! I played with a fun sketch over at Stick it Down. It is a two page sketch but I broke it down and just used the left side of the page. I also played along with the Mix it Up Monday challenge at My Scraps & More. The recipe for today was to include an arrow, a frame, a tag and paper tearing!! Come on over and play along. It was a fun challenge!

First Challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!!

Good Morning! I am so excited to post and share my first layout for the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog. This challenge was a tough one for me but that's okay. It is called a challenge for a reason isn't it??!!

Challenge #1: What's Your Style?

Share a project that showcases your signature style. Dig into your hoard and pull out items that make you

shout with crafty joy! Whip up something that has your creative name all over it. Do you, because no one is youer than you!

I have asked what "my style" of scrapbooking is over the years and truthfully, I never know how to answer that! So to try and show you my style, I thought I would scrap what is my "norm" and share that with you. 

     When I first started scrapbooking years ago, I remember My Mind's Eye being the first manufacturer I fell in love with. Anyone remember those little frame up people? Yep...I think that I owned every single one of them. Though My Mind's Eye's style has evolved over the years, mine has as well, and they are still one of my top favs! I used their Cut & Paste collection for this layout. Along with my paper style, a  couple of other things that I noticed about my scrapping is that I love scallops, clean & simple lines and white space. I don't like a lot of clutter on my pages. Some people can do it beautifully but not me!! And, the best thing to get my mojo flowing is a good sketch! It just helps my creative process so much!!!

Super Scrappy Sunday!!

That's what I am calling today...Super Scrappy Sunday instead of Super Bowl Sunday! I have been scrapping away and hope to continue crafting right along while my hubby and I watch the big game. Here is one that I finished today using the latest sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.
