The new challenge is up at Color Me Scrappy and it is right up my alley..."Ode to Summer" Summer is my FAVORITE time of year so the only hard thing about this challenge was figuring out what photos I wanted to use!!!

When I first saw this challenge at Scrap Our Stash, I immediately remembered this photo my son took of himself shortly after he got his glasses! This challenge was the perfect way to highlight this memorable moment in his life!

Up-Cycle Challenge!

Good Morning scrappy friends! It is time for another fun challenge at Craft Hoarders. Today's challenge is all about up-cycling...


"Show us how you can up-cycle something using something from your hoard!"

I have been needing a place to keep all of my Project Life cards out in the open so I SEE them and 
I USE them!!! This challenge gave me the perfect opportunity! 



1)  I started by taking the top of of two Ziploc boxes ...

2) I covered all of the sides with Canvas Crop paper...

3) I then trimmed the top edges with washi tape...

4) I cut & adhered my patterned paper on all sides...

5) I added a border sticker, alphas & chipboard to the front...

6)  taped the boxes together and attached ephemera with 7 Gypsies clip

And here is the finished project...

ok...don't faint...but I made a card!!! This time it is for the new Craft Hoarders challenge that went live this morning!!!


Challenge #12 / Who's the Boss...we want to see some embossing on your projects this time around! 

I dug out my Cuttlebug and created this card. It was really out of my comfort zone but I loved it AND I love how it turned out! I hope that the recipient does as well!!

Scrap & Play and Color Me Scrappy

The mid-month challenges are up at both Scrap & Play and Color Me Scrappy!! Both sites have great prizes up for grabs!!

The color combo for CMS was great along with the added twist of adding some sort of food on your project. This photo of my husband enjoying his birthday lunch fit the challenge perfectly...

Over at Scrap & Play we were given a choice of some hit songs from summers past to use as our title or incorporate into our journaling. I chose the song "Summer Girls" and scrapped these fun picture of my daughter and her friends enjoying the beginning of summer...

Tag, you're it!!

It's time for another fun challenge at Craft Hoarders!!!!

Challenge #11 Tag, You're It!

Use a tag on your project. Create a handmade gift tag. Create a tag mini album. Add tags to your scrapbook layout or your card. You may use some hoarded tag-shaped packaging or you may cut tags from scrap paper using a die cut template. Maybe you hoard shipping tags of all sizes. As long as your project contains some sort of tag, you will meet the requirements to play along!

I loved this challenge because I am a HUGE fan of adding tags on my layouts!! For this one, I chose to add a little one on one of the blocks...
