Ticket to the Good Life

Jumping on here to share a layout that I created for the Scrap Our Stash Birthday Challenge #13/Treat Bags. The mini bag is behind the Ticket to the Good Life title piece. I used a fun sketch from Colorful Creations as my inspiration for this page using the Happy - Go - Lucky line by Fancy Pants Designs!

Everyday Love

When I first saw the Simple Stories Daily Grind collection I loved it...all of the bright colors were just awesome!! Since then, I have picked it up time and again to create something and I just got nothing every. single. time.  until now. This page is inspired by the new sketch up on the My Scraps & More sketch blog which you can see here.

Yep...kinda love this page and love the two in it also!!!!

We got Game!

I can't believe how many layouts I have made with this "That's My Boy" collection from Echo Park. Maybe 4 or 5 already!! I don't normally use a line that many times but this one I just love!! I created this page based on the week #2 sketch at Let's Get Sketchy and the Scrap Our Stash Birthday Challenge #12 / games!

Hide & Seek

I finally took the opportunity to play with the new Bella Blvd Max collection. This line has the perfect boy papers. I bought the collection kit which only has one of each paper but now, after playing with it, I know I will have to order some more.  I used this fun Sketchbook paper as my background page and colored in some of the images with colored pencils. Such a fun look I think!!

I was inspired by the sketch challenge at Frosted Designs and also added the required buttons and bling!

HB2U !!

I have a couple of layouts to share scrapping photos from my son's birthday back in October. This first one is based on the March 15th sketch at Paper Secrets. Along with the sketch, you had to use an item for each of the letters in L U C K Y (lined paper, the letter "U", colorbox ink, Kraft buttons, yellow balloon). This page was also inspired by the Birthday challenge #10 at Scrap Our Stash where you needed to include balloons. I was happy to be able to use this new Jillibean Soup birthday collection!

My next page was inspired by the sketch on the Stuck on U Sketches blog and also challenge #11 for the Scrap Our Stash Birthday scrap-a-thon where the challenge was to include triangles on your layout. Mine triangles are represented in the party hats!!

Thanks for poppin' in! Have a great Monday!!!!

First Day of School!!

Of course it is not really what my title says but I am just getting around to scrapping my son's first day of last year. Let's Go Shockers!!

My youngest son just finished his basketball season. Though his team had the disadvantage of having only 6th graders going against teams with mostly 8th graders, as well as being MUCH taller and bigger than us, we did an awesome job!! Connor was really glad that his older brother and sister were home to see some games and also witness him putting some points on the board!! I created this page using the Echo Park "That's My Boy" collection and the new sketch today on the My Scraps & More sketch blog.

It was fun to use the smaller size photos! I hope that you get the time to play along with us this week!

Playing with paper...

I got a little time yesterday to play along with Scrap Our Stash and Let's Get Sketchy

This first page is for Scrap Our Stash Birthday Challenge #3 which requires you to add your choice of bling. I added some pins from my stash, two of which look like diamonds...the ultimate bling!

I used the March week #1 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration!

The next page if for the Birthday Challenge #4 at Scrap Our Stash which required to add one or more bows to your layout. I used the new vellum from the "Oh Darling" line by Crate Paper. I loved playing with this collection!!!

I also used a sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy Blog Hop and the requirement to use 3 different patterned paper's! Both of these great challenge sites are having some fun events to play along with right now! Check them out and try and play along if you have the time!!

Thanks so much for poppin' in!!

I was lucky enough to getaway for the weekend and head to a scrapbook crop with a friend of mine. I got 10 pages done!! That may not seem like a lot to some but it is good for me because I tend to be a slow scrapper! I am going to share a few of my layouts with you today...

This first layout I created for the photo inspiration Colorful Creations challenge and also added the required word "lucky...

this next page was made using the inspiration from the Paper Secrets sketch challenge and also to use something for each letter of the word S P R I N G (Simple Stories, pin, red twine, ink, nine hearts, green die cut)...

next I created this fun page for the photo inspirations challenge at Paper Girls Challenge Blog...

and my last share for today is based on the sketch challenge at Stuck on U Sketches...

Challenge #3 at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!!

Challenge #3 Vintage or Retro Style at Craft Hoarders Anonymous

Graphic 45 is our sponsor this month, so let's see what you can make in a vintage or retro style. Do you hoard lace or vintage hat pins? Do you snap up all the postcards at yard sales? Do you love mid-century modern? Do you long for avocado appliances and orange shag carpets? Show your vintage or retro spin on a paper crafting project.

Here is a little bit about our sponsor: Graphic 45 is an award-winning scrapbook and paper crafting company— owned and operated by a mother (Diane Schultz) and her two daughters (Aimee and Charee Filimoehala). Together they create vintage inspired crafting products that capture the flamboyant style of the 1920's and 30's - with vibrant color, irresistible texture and imaginative design to create products with decades-old appeal that's both fresh and familiar. Let our products inspire your next scrapbook layout, card, album or home decor project. Please visit the Graphic 45 Website or Facebook page for more information

Don't let this challenge scare you away!! If you are anything like me, I always thought that vintage or retro was never my style, but I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled out these Graphic 45 papers and started creating!! The colors and designs were so fun to work with!!

I paper pieced a flower using a punch and my scraps to replicate the flowers in the patterned paper!

I challenge you to get your vintage / retro on and play along with this challenge!! You may just find yourself pleasantly surprised like I did!! You could also be our lucky winner of this awesome prize pack from Graphic 45...
