Scrap & Play plus Color Me Scrappy!!

Hi scrappy friends! I am popping on here today to share what I created for Scrap & Play and Color Me Scrappy's new challenges that posted today!!

At Scrap & Play our challenge was to scrap lift a great page from one of the designers at Fancy Pants Designs, who is our sponsor this month! I used the Be Different collection on this layout...

and Color Me Scrappy's color scheme this week was awesome! Along with that, we have to use some floral patterned paper on our page. Here is what I came up with...

Both of these challenges end on June 28th and there are some awesome prizes up for grabs!! I hope that you will get a chance to check them out and play along!!!

Super Exciting News...

I am now a member of the Sketch -n- Scrap design team!!! I love working with sketches and theirs are always so much fun!!! I can not wait to get started working with the great people on the team!! The new challenge is up at 123 Get Scrappy!! For this page, I went wayyyyyyy back in my pictures and used this cute one of my son. He is now almost 13!!!

Fold It!!

It's another Craft Hoarders Monday challenge!!!

Challenge #9 Fold It

Use some sort of "fun fold" on your project. You can make a fun fold card, a pop-up card, an explosion box, or other type of project that makes use of folded cardstock or paper. You can share some folding techniques that are perfect for scrapbook layouts or mixed media pieces. Create a mini album with a folded binding. Fold some ribbon to make pleats. De-hoard those supplies and show us your folds....paper folds that is!

Our sponsors this month our WoldWin Papers and Stencil Girl! I used a fun starburst stencil from Stencil Girl to decorate the upper left of my page. I love that they look like the sun! My card stock background is from WorldWin papers. The paper was nice and sturdy which made it very easy to work with!!

Oh Happy Day!

When I first saw this color scheme at Color Me Scrappy I was like...oh no!! It really wasn't what I would have picked to work with but when I started pulling papers, it all came together so nicely!!!

I put most of my focus on the teal color instead of the browns and really love how this page turned out!! You still have a couple of days to play along with us at CMS for your chance to win the May Prize which is the new Tim Holtz Marker Spritzer!!! I would love to see you join in and link up!!

A Birthday Card for Craft Hoarders!

Good Morning scrappy friends! Time for another fun challenge from Craft Hoarders Anonymous!!

Challenge #8 Show us Some Metal or GlassDo you hoard gears, pins, brads, eyelets, frames, and other metal do-dads? Do you have a thing for tiny light bulbs and glass vials? Do junk drawers make you giddy? Do you hang out in office supply stores so you can score funky paperclips? Do bottle caps make you swoon? Dig through your hoard to find something metal or glass (or both) and make a project to share!

I went outside of my comfort zone and create a card using a "Happy Birthday" sentiment stamp from Sin City stamps!!!
